Jumbo has lifted its delisting of JDE Peet’s coffee brands: the supermarket chain confirms that both parties have reached an agreement. Jumbo stopped selling the products in July after JDE Peet’s announced substantial price increases.
Large price increases imposed
Last summer, Jumbo suspended orders from Douwe Egberts and L’Or, among others, because the supplier had imposed “price increases of between 20 and 30 %.” Other supermarket chains also entered into conflict with the coffee supplier as a result. After difficult negotiations, both parties reached an agreement, but in July, JDE Peet’s announced further price increases.
