Ceconomy, the group behind MediaMarkt and Saturn, saw growth in both turnover and profit this year. The electronics group wants to position itself explicitly as an “omnichannel service company” and already generates more than a quarter of its turnover online. So the cards are stacked in favor of the upcoming takeover by JD.com.
“This year makes us proud”
The group’s revenue rose by 5.7% to €23.1 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year. Growth was seen in all quarters, but the fourth quarter in particular contributed €5.5 billion. Adjusted EBIT rose by €72 million to €378 million, marking the eleventh consecutive quarter of improved profitability for Ceconomy.
