Tomorrow, British sandwich chain Pret A Manger will open its first branch in Flanders, its second in Belgium. The premiere will take place at Antwerp Central Station.

Tailored to travellers

The new Pret A Manger branch, located in the station’s former ticket hall and a stone’s throw from the entrance to Antwerp Zoo, has 78 seats, 32 of which are on the terrace. The restaurant is open seven days a week.

The concept is tailored to travellers: fast and convenient, with hot or cold products that are easy to take with you and available throughout the day. Sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, pita breads, and salads are prepared on site every day using seasonal ingredients. The menu also includes a wide range of vegetarian and gluten-free products, organic coffee, smoothies, frappés, and cold drinks.

Operated by SSP

Pret A Manger, founded in London in 1986, now has more than 700 outlets worldwide in twenty countries. The Belgian outlets are operated by SSP, an international specialist in catering outlets in high-traffic locations, active in 38 countries. SSP Belgium operates 74 outlets, including 33 Panos outlets.

“The opening of the first Pret A Manger outlet in Flanders at Antwerp station, an architectural gem and one of the most beautiful stations in the world, is a milestone for SSP in Belgium. It is the second Pret A Manger in Belgium, after Brussels South, which opened in 2019, and our 42nd outlet of the renowned British brand under SSP worldwide”, director Stan Monheim of SSP FraBeLux said.
