Just Eat Takeaway.com halved its net loss in the first half of 2025. A remarkable performance, given the simultaneous decline in the number of orders and a contraction in revenue of 2%. Before the acquisition by Prosus, the meal delivery service significantly reduced its costs.

The loss from Just Eat Takeaway’s continuing operations was halved to 90 million euros, compared to a loss of 203 million euros during the same period last year. Nevertheless, the number of orders decreased by 7%, with a decline of 4% in continental Europe and 5% less in the UK and Ireland. Outside of these regions, the order volume even dropped by 17%. Total revenue decreased from 1.77 billion to 1.75 billion euros, despite higher meal prices.
