The Dutch department store chain Bijenkorf has finally launched its Austrian webshop. The launch was announced in early 2020 and was initially planned for the second half of that year, but that timing suffered some delays.

International strategy

The new webshop is art of the strategy of De Bijenkorf to enhance its international presences. “This expansion to Austria is the logical next step after the succesful online rollout in Belgium, Germany and France”, says CEO Giovanni Colauto.

Just like the existing webshops, the Austrian online store offers an exclusive product range in fashion, cosmetics, accessories, travel and home decoration from over 1,000 brands. These include, among many others, Alexander McQueen, Cartier, Charlotte Tilbury, Le Creuset, Gucci, Hugo Boss and Stone Island.
