Jysk is successfully increasing pressure on suppliers to embrace climate goals: 94% of the largest emitters have pledged to set scientifically approved climate targets by 2028.
Climate commitments
Jysk not only has its own climate targets, but also requires commitment from its suppliers. The Scandinavian interior design chain wants 72.5% of its suppliers in the “purchased goods and services” category to also set their own environmental standards by the 2027/28 financial year.
Almost all suppliers in the highest emission category have now committed to this, according to the Danish trade magazine RetailNews. They promise to commit to concrete, scientifically approved targets, with a deadline of 2028. The move is in line with the broader targets that the retail chain has set for 2027/28.
