More than one in three consumers uses an AI assistant when shopping. Retailers are also increasingly embracing the technology, for marketing support and product innovation.

37 % of consumers have used an AI assistant when shopping in the past year, an increase of 47 % compared to a year earlier. In Belgium, the figure is almost one in three shoppers, in the Netherlands it is one in four, the latest Retail Report by financial technology platform Adyen, based on a survey of 41,000 consumers in 28 countries, suggests.
