Supermarkets in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany have similar price levels on average, a new study finds. However, there are notable differences between categories, brands and retailers.
Price differences are decreasing
Based on the 2023 figures, the study concluded that Dutch supermarkets are on average 4.5 % cheaper than Belgian ones and 3.7 % cheaper than German ones. The price differences are decreasing, though.
