Lynne Bruning-van Gessel has been appointed as the new Brand President of Etos, Ahold Delhaize‘s Dutch drugstore chain. On 1 July, she will succeed Pieter Saman, who is moving to the multinational’s American chain Food Lion.
From 1 July
Bruning-van Gessel has been Etos’ commercial director since 2022, following a 15-year career at L’Oréal. As Brand President, she will report to Margaret Versteden-van Duijn, who will become Albert Heijn CEO on 1 September.
Saman has accepted a job as Division Director at Ahold Delhaize’s US supermarket chain Food Lion. He has been with the Ahold Delhaize group since 2020: first he led liquor chain Gall & Gall, then Etos.
