The sale of the loss-making French supermarkets heralds a new phase for Colruyt Group: under CEO Stefan Goethaert, the retail group is switching to a strategy of focus and rationalisation. “If I had to highlight one thing, it would be: making choices and maintaining sufficient focus,” says Goethaert in an interview with Belgian newspaper De Tijd.
