Spanish fashion group Inditex has big ambitions with its budget chain Lefties. The retailer aims to open 200 shops in major Western European countries next year, to counter fashion discounters such as Primark and Zeeman.
Accelerated rollout
Lefties, which originally started as an outlet shop for Zara collections, still is relatively unknown in Europe, but that will soon change. Owner Inditex wants to roll out the budget brand, which until now has mainly operated in Southern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Mexico, to major European markets.
