Zalando introduces “invite-only shopping” for popular items

Fashion14 December, 2023

Zalando is launching an exclusive invite-only shopping service for its most hyped, limited-edition products. Shoppers can request an invitation in the app and reserve a time slot to make their purchase.

Less time pressure

Some popular items sell out within minutes: for those, Zalando customers can now request an invitation in the app. They are then assigned a specific time slot in which they can make the purchase: this way, there is less time pressure and frustration. The new invite-only service is in line with the fashion retailer’s ambition to improve the shopping experience and fits with the launch of Zalando Stories digital magazine earlier this year, which features inspiring stories, influencer videos and tips.

Zalando Plus customers can enjoy the new service even more, as part of the stock of each product launch is allocated to them. In addition, the service gives partners the chance to showcase their most popular products, said Fabio Baum, General Manager Benelux & Nordics.

The first product to become available for invite-only shopping is the FENTY x PUMA Avanti trainer. Registration is possible from today and customers will receive an invitation on 19 December 2023.
