German textile discounter Takko Fashion wants to add 300 stores to its network in its key markets: Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The retailer is also modernising existing stores and its app.
Focus on expansion and loyalty
Takko Fashion already has more than 2,000 stores in Europe, but that number is set to grow rapidly over the next three years. At least sixty stores should be added this financial year alone, the company announced in a press release. In addition to new stores in retail parks and shopping centres, the retailer is also planning further expansion in city centres to reach a wider audience.
To strengthen customer loyalty, the retailer is adding personalised functionalities to its Takko Friends app. The new features will be available to Austrian, Dutch and German customers in June, followed by other countries a while later. At the moment, seven million customers are member of Takko Friends.
CEO Martino Pessina has identified three main focuses: product innovation, store network expansion and strengthening customer loyalty, he said in a press release. Takko is encouraged by record results in the past two financial years and expects to announce strong figures for the current financial year in June. The company’s positioning as a discounter offering quality clothing is proving popular with ever more customers.
