Bershka is taking another step forward in its international expansion. Inditex’s youth fashion chain will open its first brick-and-mortar store in the United States, specifically at Aventura Mall in Miami.
Greater international presence
The location is no coincidence: Zara and Massimo Dutti, also owned by Inditex, are already present in the same shopping center. Bershka, which until now had operated in the United States solely through its online channel, is thus strengthening the group’s omnichannel strategy.
Prior to this expansion, Inditex had a physical presence in the country only through Zara and Massimo Dutti. The Spanish group entered the United States in 1989 with its first Zara store in New York, and by the end of fiscal year 2025, it was present in 26 states.
The Miami opening is part of a broader international expansion by Bershka. The brand, with 850 stores in more than sixty markets, has also opened its first stores in Brazil and India this year. In addition, it has expanded its network in Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Inditex states that Bershka “will continue to grow internationally” for the remainder of the fiscal year. The group is also maintaining a positive growth trajectory: in the first quarter of 2026, sales rose 5.8% to over 8.7 billion euros, while net profit increased 5.4% to 1.375 billion euros.
