Coolblue opens first store in Germany

iconElectronics12 July, 2021

At the end of this year Coolblue will open its first German store, more specifically in Düsseldorf. About a year ago the electronics webshop started with its first deliveries in Germany.

New step in German expansion

Cooblue’s first German store will be in the Kö-Bogen II shopping mall in the centre of Düsseldorf. The building is known for its gigantic green façade. On an area of 2,600 m² customers will be able to discover more than 1,000 products.

The Dutch web shop has been present in Germany for a year. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the company has already strongly expanded its own delivery and installation service for washing machines and televisions and its own delivery service. Later this year a first physical store will be added.

In total Cooblue wants to open six outlets this year in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. “The coming period we will open one Coolblue shop almost every month. Of course we do this for our customers. They often already have an idea which product they want, but still want to experience it”, says topman Pieter Zwart. There will be new stores in Kuurne, Rotterdam Alexandrium and Nijmegen. By the end of this year, the chain will have at least 20 stores.
