Unilever considers making a bid to acquire the American supplement manufacturer Thorne for as much as 3.7 billion euros. The FMCG giant wants to focus increasingly on the growing beauty and wellness sector.

Unilever is exploring the deal, which could value Thorne at 4 billion US dollars (3.7 billion euros), according to the Financial Times. Thorne, based in South Carolina, produces dietary supplements such as magnesium and omega-3, primarily for the U.S. market.
