Procter & Gamble is seeing its raw material and transportation costs rise more sharply than expected due to high oil prices. Nevertheless, the American manufacturer of Pampers, Ariel, and Gillette is performing better than predicted. Beauty products and household goods, in particular, continue to sell well.
Higher costs weigh on margins
Procter & Gamble (P&G) expects rising prices for raw materials, energy, and transportation to reduce profits by $1.4 billion (€1.25 billion) in the 2027 fiscal year. Previously, the multinational had estimated a cost impact of $1 billion.
