Dutch optical group EyeCare has acquired seven Belgian Vision Over Sight stores, which doubles its size in the country and expands its total size to more than 160 stores.
Market leader in high-end optics
The seven acquired stores are located in all three of Belgium’s regions (Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia) and allow EyeCare to grow to fifteen Belgian shops. In total, the group now has more than 160 branches, Belgian business newspaper De Tijd reports. These operate under a number of different banners.
EyeCare calls itself the market leader in high-end optics and hearing solutions. The group was founded in 2021 by eight successful family businesses. In February, the company also acquired Schmidt Optiek, Metselaar Optiek and Van Dijk Optiek in the Netherlands.
