Hema opens its 42nd French store

Store chain Hema has opened its 42nd French store in the Centre Commercial Labège shopping center in Toulouse, which now has 2 Hema stores.

"Logical step"

"Our first Hema store in Toulouse was a resounding success: our food items are very popular, but so are our holiday gifts and decorations. A second store seemed like a logical step to us and we are therefore very proud to have just opened one", Saskia Trouw, Hema International's formula manager, said.

The group will continue to focus on its international expansion, with already 9 new stores abroad this year alone: 5 in France, 2 in Spain and another 2 in England. These international stores have their own specific formula, where each store gets specific living areas. This way, customers who do not know anything about Hema's products, can still easily find their way through the product range.

Hema currently has nearly 700 stores in 7 countries and 11,000 employees.
