Ceconomy, the parent company of MediaMarkt and Saturn, closed its 2025/26 fiscal year with stronger-than-expected results. The electronics retailer saw its profit rise by 27%, while revenue grew by 5.3%. Meanwhile, the acquisition by China’s JD.com is approaching a decisive phase.
Fifteen quarters of profit growth
In the fiscal year ending in September, Ceconomy posted adjusted operating profit (EBIT) of approximately 515 million euros, compared to 406 million euros a year earlier. This means the group exceeded its own target of 500 million euros. In the fourth quarter, profitability also improved for the fifteenth consecutive quarter.
