More than 1,000 former Cora employees in Belgium will receive additional support in their job search. The European Parliament is allocating 3.82 million euros for counseling and retraining. By the end of September, 34% of the former employees receiving support had already found a new job.

For guidance and training

On Wednesday, the European Parliament approved 3.82 million euros in funding from the European Globalization Adjustment Fund. The funds are intended to help former employees of the Belgian Cora hypermarkets re-enter the labor market following the closure. A total of 1,257 laid-off employees from Cora and a supplier are eligible, including 1,010 former employees from Wallonia.
