Why is Decathlon already holding an outlet sale of second-hand inventory?

Decathlon Belgium opens its Circular Hub in Mechelen to consumers for the first time. Through an outlet sale of refurbished sports equipment, bike repairs, and test rides on used bikes, the sports retailer aims to increase the visibility and scale of its circular initiatives.

Returns and ex-lease bikes

The Circular Hub, which has been operational since March, is thus taking on an additional commercial function. On Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3, Decathlon will be selling items such as electric bikes, speed pedelecs, kayaks, trampolines, and fitness equipment at discounted prices. On average, the price is already 43% lower than that of a comparable new product.
