Coolblue will open a new store in Sint-Niklaas at the end of this year, where the electronics retailer will set up shop in Krea Park. It will be the company’s thirteenth Belgian location and its first in the Waasland region. Next stop: Gosselies.
Third opening this year
The store will have a sales area of approximately 800 square meters, within a total retail space of 1,200 square meters. Customers will be able to view and test more than 1,000 products, ranging from smartphones and laptops to televisions, coffee machines, and major appliances. Coolblue is looking to hire about 25 employees for the new store, primarily sales associates.
Coolblue is designing the location according to its revamped store concept. In addition to sales and advice, the store will also offer pickup of online orders and post-purchase service. Visitors can compare products in the store using QR codes in the Coolblue app. “Our customers often already have an idea of which product they want, but would like to try it out first,” says Arne Van Verdegem, country manager for Coolblue Belgium.
Sint-Niklaas will be Coolblue’s third new Belgian store in 2026. The retailer already opened a location in Drogenbos in February. Gosselies will follow later this year. And it doesn’t stop there, as Coolblue says it sees room for at least ten additional stores in Belgium. “We’re looking for suitable retail locations in Belgium’s major cities,” says Van Verdegem. “For example, we’re searching for suitable properties ranging from about 1,000 to 1,500 square meters in cities such as Brussels and Leuven.”
