In its new weekly flyer, Jumbo is offering a thousand products with a “buy one, get one free” deal. This remarkable promotion is running in both the Netherlands and Belgium. The supermarket chain, which was known for its consistently low prices, can no longer avoid running aggressive promotions.

Prices not identical

The claim on the new Jumbo flyer catches the eye: 1,000 products, buy one, get one free. The promotion, which runs from Wednesday, September 2, through Tuesday, September 8, includes both well-known premium brands and Jumbo’s private labels across all product categories. Even more remarkable is that the flyer makes the same claim in the Dutch home market as it does in Belgium.
