Nearly a quarter of Uniqlo stores in France will go on strike on Saturday, 11 July. Employees are demanding higher wages and better working conditions after the Japanese clothing brand announced significant profit growth.
Pressure on staff
The strike will affect stores in Paris, Strasbourg, Lille, Lyon, and Toulouse, among others. Uniqlo has about thirty stores in France. The CFDT union points to a structural staff shortage, high employee turnover, and increasing reports of burnout.
