El Corte Inglés reports sharp rise in profits

Thanks to ongoing efficiency improvements, Spanish retail group El Corte Inglés reported a net profit of 628 million euros for the past fiscal year, an increase of 22.8% compared to the previous year.

Solid growth

The retailer has just announced its financial results for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, which ended on February 28, 2026. El Corte Inglés’ total consolidated revenue amounted to 17.247 billion euros. This represents an increase of 1.1%, and growth of 2% on a like-for-like basis.
