Upway, a French platform for second-hand e-bikes, is expanding its Dutch activities after raising new capital. The start-up will open its own refurbishment centre in Amsterdam early next year.
More visible to consumers
Upway hopes to sell 10,000 e-bikes in the Netherlands this year, which would make the country the company’s fourth-largest market. With the new centre, the company wants to become more visible to consumers — and to large bicycle manufacturers, Dutch newspaper FD writes. That should result in sales more than doubling on the Dutch market next year.
