Temu and the Dutch postal service PostNL are expanding their partnership. As a result, parcels from the Chinese online marketplace will soon also be available in PostNL parcel lockers and retail outlets.
New pick-up options
The Dutch postal and parcel delivery company and Temu have signed a letter of intent to collaborate more closely. This will enable Temu to offer multiple delivery options in the Netherlands, with an emphasis on out-of-home delivery. Consumers will be able to pick up their orders via PostNL parcel lockers and various retail outlets.
PostNL will also become part of Temu’s Local Seller Program. This program makes it easier for sellers in the Netherlands and other European markets to ship their parcels. PostNL will handle domestic distribution, while Spring GDS, the international arm of PostNL, will be responsible for European shipments.
Previously, Belgian bpost and the French postal company La Poste entered into similar agreements with Temu, even though this led to protests and criticism from local retailers.
