Walmart and PepsiCo have been accused of collaborating in a price-fixing scheme in the United States that allegedly lasted nearly ten years. A lawsuit, filed Monday in federal court, requests recognition as a class action.
Prices for competitors increased
According to the accusations, Walmart received preferential prices for PepsiCo products, forcing other retailers to pay artificially high prices. The plaintiffs argue that this not only suppressed competition among retailers, but ultimately also harmed consumers.
