EssilorLuxottica exceeded expectations in the third quarter, fuelled by a new line of AI glasses developed with Facebook owner Meta. The wearables delivered “exponential growth.”
Towards 60 million smart glasses?
Revenue rose 11.7 % to 6.87 billion euros at constant exchange rates, exceeding analysts’ average estimate of 8.5 % growth. The world’s largest eyewear group introduced the latest Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta last month. As a result, AI glasses became an important growth driver, including in its own stores such as the Sunglass Hut chain.
