The German fashion webshop Bonprix is yet again changing management. CEO Torben Hansen will step down on 31 October. Parent company Otto Group acknowledges that “differences of opinion about the strategic direction” were the deciding factor.
No successor, but shared leadership
Hansen had been CEO of Bonprix for less than a year and a half, having succeeded Richard Gottwald in the spring of 2024. Hansen is now leaving to pursue new challenges outside the Otto Group. However, Bonprix is not filling the CEO position anymore. Instead, the three remaining board members—Carolin Klar, Matthias Wlaka, and Kai Heck—will temporarily take over the duties. On January 1, Nicolai Johannsen will join as Chief Marketing Officer. From that moment on, the management will have a collective structure: four equal members at the helm.
