French bakery chain Copains is setting its sights on Brussels, seeking to open four stores in the Belgian capital over the coming months. However, there is a naming issue on the horizon.
Luxury bread and coffee experience
The first store will open mid-October on the Marché aux Herbes in the touristy Îlot Sacré. Shortly afterwards, an establishment will follow on Rue Jan Stas, near Avenue Louise. A “bread and pastry laboratory” will open on Chaussée de Charleroi, while a flagship store on Place du Châtelain is scheduled for December or early 2026. In all, the Brussels locations will employ 35 people.
