Ahold Delhaize finds successor to Wouter Kolk at Metro

Ahold Delhaize has found a successor to Wouter Kolk, who will step down as board member and CEO Europe & Indonesia after the summer, at Metro.

Experienced retail manager

With Claude Sarrailh, Ahold Delhaize has managed to attract an experienced retail manager, who has been with Metro since 2006 – including as CEO of Metro China and as Chief Customer and Merchandise Officer and member of the Management Board. Before that, he worked for Carrefour for ten years. He holds a Master of Finance degree from the Ecole Supérieur de Gestion in Paris.

On 1 September, Sarrailh will join the company as Executive Vice President. Upon shareholder approval, he will start as a member of the Ahold Delhaize Board of Directors and CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia a month later. The current CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, Wouter Kolk, will then step down.
