Coolblue opens first German store in Düsseldorf

iconElectronics19 November, 2021

E-commerce company Coolblue has opened its first physical store in Germany on Friday: a large and green branch in the centre of Düsseldorf. More store are planned in the country.

More to come

The first German Coolblue store is quite a big one: it is as large as 2,600 m². Customers can try out more than a thousand products, and can also drop by for advice, repairs and to collect online orders. The new store is located in the heart of Düsseldorf, in the Kö-Bogen II shopping centre. This remarkable building has the greenest façade in Europe, made of no less than 30,000 plants.

In the summer of 2020 Coolblue crossed the German border. In the meantime, the company already has more than 100 Coolblue employees in Germany and has already significantly expanded its own delivery network, installation service and bicycle network in North Rhine-Westphalia. “In the coming year we will continue to expand on German soil,” says top executive Pieter Zwart. “In North Rhine-Westphalia we want to further expand our delivery services. We also want to open more stores there. That way we will make even more German customers very happy.”
