Fashion label Blabla Belgium: seriously ambitious

Blabla Belgium, a new Belgian label with humorous slogans in French, has expressed plans to be present in physical stores and even expand abroad, after the successful start of their online store.

100 % Belgian

The new label was founded by Maxim Suarez and his sister Justine: "My sister is the creative brain, I am the commercial force," says Maxim. "We both have a fashion background. Our mother had and has fashion stores. Under the brand we produce T-shirts and sweaters with statements in French, a language we love and which also has international allure. (...) Our target group? Age is of no importance, attitude is. People who are social, like to go out and want to see the world are the people that like BlaBla. Humour is important to us. Fashion is often takes itself too serious, but Blabla is hip and fun. We want to make people happy.”

Everything is designed and made in Belgium from organic cotton. "We are proud of that. We keep the label somewhat exclusive: each piece is numbered and comes with a certificate; they are limited editions. Currently we produce about 200 pieces per model, which may increase. The prices remain accessible: 30 euro for a T-shirt, 65 euro for a sweater. At the moment, we only sell through our own online shop and in some offline boutiques. We promote where our target group is: on social media."

What the future has in store? "We are going to release multiple collections per year, and we have international ambitions. First, we will build further in Belgium, then we will cross the borders."
