Xenos seeks German expansion

Interior design chain Xenos seeks further German expansion as it feels the Dutch market is already quite saturated and the German market offers a chance to expand.

Currently, Xenos has some 50 stores in Germany, but it would like to expand to 200 to 300 stores, especially stores that can be supplied from Waalwijk.

Made.com attracts 45 million euro


Online furniture shop Made.com has attracted 45 million euro in a new investment round, which will be used to strengthen its position in current markets and to expand to new European markets.

New leadership for Blokker Holding


On 6 February, Abel Slippens stepped down as chairman and member of the Board of Commissioners for Blokker Holding. Michiel Witteveen, who has plenty of retail experience, has succeeded him.

Ikea considers vegan customers


Swedish Ikea will now also manufacture vegan products. The first item will be the Veggie Dog, a vegan version of the hot dog. Local customers will have to wait until the summer to buy one here as well.
