Carrefour opens Carrefour Express in Luxembourg

French retailer Carrefour has opened its first Carrefour Express (a city center formula) in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Carrefour Belgium, which already has a bigger store in Luxembourg, will exploit the store.

Adjusted product range

Carrefour will adjust the Express store's product range to fit the local habits with additional attention to easy meals, bread, pastry and fresh products. Typically Luxembourgish products have been added to the product range and the large group of Portuguese citizens will also benefit from the adjusted product range.

 

"Luxembourgish people do not cook the same way Belgians do, which is why we offer a wider range of fresh products and meat. The culinary aid aisle has also been extensively expanded", manager Maxence De Maeseneire said.
