De Bijenkorf focuses on Belgium as well

Dutch department store chain De Bijenkorf has enabled Belgian consumers to visit its web shop. From now on, customers can use Bancontact and get their orders delivered in Belgium.

Delivery on the next day

De Bijenkorf has not created a Belgium-focused web shop, but has made it easier to order online. If a customer orders prior to 21h, then it will be delivered the next day, in Belgium as well. Delivery costs are 4.95 euro, but if customers pick it up at a Kiala point, they will only pay 3.95 euro.

The company says it has now answered a longstanding request from Belgian customers and Dutch people living in Belgium. Particularly the stores in the south of the Netherlands attract a lot of visitors from across the border. Expanding the web shop to Belgium fits De Bijenkorf's new strategy, which focuses on omnichannel.
