Next week, Belgian multi-brand fashion retailer ZEB is opening its first store outside of Belgium. The first foreign location is Bettembourg in Luxembourg, close to the borders with France and Germany. If all goes well, it is just the start of a bigger international expansion.
"Not seen here before"
ZEB's first foreign store measures 1,000 sqm and comes at the cost of a million euros. It will open in the Hi-Fi Warehouse complex in Bettembourg, just a ten minute's drive away from the capital of the Grand Duchy.
CEO Luc Van Mol is delighted with the opportunity: "We noticed that there still was no fashion store in the area that offers a large number of quality brands to a varied public. It has been our aim for a long time to introduce ZEB outside of Belgium, and as our multi-brand concept is not yet seen around here, we think ZEB is the perfect addition to the existing range of fashion stores in Luxembourg".
Belgium currently has 69 ZEB stores, which offer more than seventy different brands. They are a blend between large international labels (think Guess or Calvin Klein) and smaller local labels (Astrid Black Label or Stien Edlund). The Bettembourg store is ZEB's seventieth physical store, but the hunt for more locations is on the way - both in Belgium and abroad.
